Finance Manager/Accountant

Location - Colombo

Duties & Responsibilities

· Producing an annual budget, monthly reports, and yearly reports.

· Preparation of the variance analysis reports against the budget, monitoring results with the department heads and interpreting the results.

· Ensure compliance with financial accounting regulations and company taxation.

· Should be able to lead, guide, and motivate a team of account staff under direct supervision to ensure the smooth running of daily accounting operations.

· Liaise with auditors, the company secretary, bankers, and relevant government authorities to be in line with the company's goals and objectives.

· Design or upgrade internal control systems to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness.

· Cover up any other duties that may arise from time to time.

Qualifications and Skills

· A degree in Finance/commerce or fully/partly qualified in CA/ ACCA/ CIMA or CMA

· A minimum of 3–4 years’ experience in a similar capacity and in a manufacturing environment would be an added advantage.

· Result-driven, Proactive, Creative, and organized character.

· Conversant with MS Office packages

· Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization.

· Strong attention to detail and sound analytical skills.
