1705 Studio is an Aussie design studio with a remote team in Sri Lanka. We help B2B startups build brands, apps, and websites.

What We're Looking For:

A passionate UI/UX Designer who thrives in fast-moving environments. Someone who can solve problems creatively and contribute to our evolving design systems.

What You'll Do:

  • Create and enhance design systems. Ensure every component is consistent and user-friendly.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and senior UI/UX designers. Transform requirements into intuitive, functional designs.
  • Attend client meetings. Gather requirements. Understand their needs and translate them into compelling designs.
  • Work closely with developers. Understand what’s feasible in design and ensure designs are practical for implementation.
  • Manage your own time effectively in a hybrid work environment.
  • Continuously learn and adapt. Stay updated with the latest design trends and technologies.
  • Contribute to improving our design processes. Suggest new ideas and better ways of working.

What You Should Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience in UI/UX design.
  • Proficient in Figma.
  • Strong problem-solving skills. You're a fast learner who thrives in challenging environments.
  • Experience with design systems. You know how to create and maintain them.
  • Ability to manage yourself and your time in a hybrid work setup.
  • Excellent communication skills. You can convey complex ideas simply and clearly.
  • Passion for continuous learning. You're always seeking new knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to work with developers. Understand technical constraints and design accordingly.
