Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal claims management team working remotely with UK team members. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting our clients' claims by conducting legal research, organizing case documentation, liaising with clients and external parties, and contributing to the overall success of our claims management efforts.
Responsibilities
Assist solicitors and senior paralegals in preparing and managing legal claims.
Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
Gather, organize, and maintain case documents, evidence, and correspondence.
Communicate with clients, opposing parties, and external stakeholders professionally and efficiently.
Draft and review legal documents, including letters, forms, and pleadings.
Assist in preparing for trial, including compiling witness lists, exhibits, and trial notebooks.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management records and databases.
Assist in the preparation of settlement agreements and negotiation documentation.
Keep abreast of changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry developments.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive information.
Qualifications
Paralegal qualification or equivalent legal education and experience.
Previous experience in a paralegal role, preferably in claims management or litigation.
Sound knowledge of UK legal procedures and regulations related to claims management.
Strong research skills with the ability to analyze and interpret legal documents.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in using legal research databases and case management software.
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
