Located in Jubail Industrial City in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, this company was established through the collaboration of two global energy leaders. As part of its strategic growth, the company is expanding its operations by constructing a state-of-the-art petrochemical complex, seamlessly integrating with its existing refinery to enhance productivity and maximize operational synergy.

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Resilience Specialist to develop, implement, and maintain our Business Continuity and Resilience programs. This role ensures that our organization remains operationally resilient by identifying potential risks, mitigating disruptions, and ensuring swift recovery during incidents. The specialist will work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to establish risk management frameworks, crisis response strategies, and compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

• Develop and maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP).
• Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to identify critical operations, dependencies, and vulnerabilities.
• Establish emergency response procedures and ensure seamless integration with company strategies.
• Continuously assess and improve resilience programs to align with evolving risks and business needs.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on organizational resilience, advising management and key stakeholders.

Risk Management & Mitigation

• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities that may impact operations.
• Develop and implement mitigation strategies to reduce risk exposure.
• Work with business units to analyze and address risks associated with contracts, regulatory changes, and operational activities.
• Monitor and evaluate the financial impacts of potential risks and propose preventive measures.

Training, Awareness & Incident Response

• Develop and deliver business continuity and crisis management training for employees.
• Organize regular drills and simulations to test the effectiveness of response strategies.
• Establish and lead a Crisis Management Team (CMT) to coordinate response efforts during incidents.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all teams during emergencies.

Regulatory Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and international standards related to business resilience.
• Conduct internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance resilience programs.
• Track, report, and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for resilience effectiveness.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Define and monitor KPIs related to risk management, business continuity, and compliance.
• Continuously analyze market and industry trends for potential risks and improvement areas.
• Provide regular reports to senior management on risk trends, business resilience performance, and corrective action plans.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related field.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CBCP, CRISC, CISA, or Business Continuity Management (BCM) are preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Risk Management, or related fields, preferably in the Refining or Petrochemical industry.
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment frameworks, resilience planning, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing business resilience programs.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and industry standards related to business resilience.
