The Role

As the Head of Delivery, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects and initiatives while driving efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will play a critical role in aligning project delivery with business objectives, optimizing processes, and fostering a high-performance culture within the organization.

The Shift

Work Week: Monday to Friday Shift (SL time): Straddle 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM Other Features: Full-time / US calendar applicable

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring they meet scope, timeline, and quality expectations.
  • Establish and drive best practices for project execution, delivery governance, and risk management.
  • Promote Agile and Lean delivery methodologies across teams, ensuring efficiency and adaptability.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for delivery challenges, removing roadblocks and optimizing workflows.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Operations, to align project execution with business objectives.
  • Ensure effective backlog management, prioritization, and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Oversee sprint planning, execution, and retrospective processes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and enhance team velocity, productivity, and adherence to project timelines.
  • Own and refine delivery metrics, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, providing transparency into delivery progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives to build a culture of excellence in project delivery.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and delivery best practices to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Manage and mentor a team of release managers, project managers (client deliveries), and other professionals to ensure profitability.

Person Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, or Information Systems.
  • 10+ years of experience in project/program management, software delivery, or a related leadership role.
  • Technical acumen (experience as software engineering manager/architect) to review and question the release/feature estimates and implementation efforts to keep a check on cost.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and other delivery methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members, stakeholders, and clients
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities with a focus on driving results.
  • Ability to identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong teamwork and conflict resolution skills, promoting collaboration and resolving conflicts within the project team.
