Assistant Manager - Business Development

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for supporting the CEO in all aspects of business development, with a strong focus on writing high-quality proposals and managing client relationships. This role requires excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Proposal Development

  • Draft, edit, and finalize compelling business proposals, RFP responses, and pitch decks in collaboration with the CEO
  • Research potential clients and industry trends to tailor proposals to specific client needs
  • Develop proposal templates and standardized content to improve efficiency
  • Track proposal status and manage proposal deadlines
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to incorporate technical content into proposals

Client Management

  • Serve as a key point of contact for assigned clients
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients at multiple levels
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing client accounts
  • Coordinate client meetings and follow-up activities
  • Monitor client satisfaction and address any concerns promptly

Business Development Support

  • Assist the CEO in identifying and qualifying new business opportunities
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends
  • Attend networking events and industry conferences as a company representative
  • Maintain the CRM system with up-to-date client and prospect information
  • Track and report on business development metrics and KPIs

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to create compelling, error-free content
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office suite (particularly PowerPoint and Word)
  • Ability to work independently while supporting executive leadership
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through capabilities

Preferred

  • Experience in export/import or similar industry
  • Proven track record of successful proposal writing
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Experience with proposal management software
