We are seeking a General Manager - Energy Biomass Methane Hydrogen to lead and develop our renewable energy initiatives, specifically focusing on converting biomass into hydrogen. This role will be responsible for driving business expansion, managing large-scale projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing innovative energy solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep technical expertise, and a strategic vision for advancing biomass-to-hydrogen technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement business strategies to expand the biomass-to-hydrogen sector.
Oversee biomass-to-hydrogen conversion operations, ensuring efficiency, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
Lead and manage large-scale investment projects, including partnerships with key stakeholders.
Drive market expansion initiatives, focusing on product innovation and competitive positioning.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, investors, and business partners.
Implement cost-effective operational strategies to optimize profitability and resource utilization.
Ensure compliance with energy policies, environmental regulations, and permitting requirements.
Oversee marketing and commercialization strategies for hydrogen as a sustainable energy solution.
Manage financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue growth.
Promote innovation and sustainability in energy product development, supporting circular economy principles.
Qualifications:
Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Management, or a related field. Master’s degree/MBA is preferred.
Experience: 8+ years in the waste management, fertilizer, or environmental sector, with 3+ years in a managerial or director-level position.
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of biomass-to-hydrogen conversion technologies, including gasification, pyrolysis, and electrolysis.
Leadership & Project Management: Proven leadership experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and executing large-scale energy projects.
Business Acumen: Expertise in operations, finance, regulations, permitting, and business development within the renewable energy sector.
Negotiation & Stakeholder Management: Strong skills in negotiation, stakeholder management, and strategic partnerships.
Industry Network: Well-established connections with government bodies, investors, industry partners, and renewable energy organizations.
Adaptability & Travel: Willingness to travel and operate in a dynamic business environment.
Renewable Energy Project Development: Experience in developing biomass-to-hydrogen energy projects, from concept to execution.
Hydrogen Production Knowledge: Deep understanding of green and blue hydrogen production processes and supporting technologies within the hydrogen value chain.
Regulatory Compliance: Comprehensive knowledge of renewable energy policies, environmental standards, government incentives, and energy project permitting.
Market & Investment Strategies: Strong experience in market analysis, business expansion, and investment strategies in the energy sector.
Sustainability & Circular Economy: Understanding of economic and sustainability aspects of the energy industry, as well as global trends in energy transition.
