Assistant Manager – Payroll Services

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the payroll team to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for business units within the SLA.
  • Manage workload distribution and ensure seamless handling.
  • Ensure any inquiries or concerns raised are addressed immediately.
  • Oversee and perform end-to-end payroll processes, specifically on the SAP platform and other banking platforms.
  • Ensure the team adheres to all relevant regulations, complies with applicable policies, and maintains accuracy in all transactions.
  • Work closely with management to enhance the payroll process, aiming for improved efficiency and streamlined operations.
  • Maintain contingencies and backup plans to ensure a smooth and seamless process.
  • planning of staffing and resources to meet future demands.
  • Provide insights and reporting to senior management to support decision-making and commercial strategies.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions for greater efficiency and accuracy.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in HRM or a relevant field. Full / Part Professional Qualification in HRM preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in Payroll processing, including salary calculations, tax deductions, statutory payments, bonus calculations, and year- end processing.
  • Experience in handling a team and managing client relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 1 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in SAP will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling payroll information.
