Our client is a multinational Chinese employer which is providing network tools, network services, and telecommunication related needs. Our client's headquarter is based on Shenzhen, Guangdong who's established in 1987. This company is starting to produce phone switches, and now developed into creating the telco network providers which is not only tools, but also the complex service for domestic and international coverage. Their products are reaching more than 170 countries with more than 195,000 employees.

The Data Center Product Manager plays a critical role in product management, presales engagement, and solution design for network and data center infrastructure. This position requires a strong technical background, customer engagement skills, and strategic thinking to develop winning solutions that meet business and operational needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience in telecom, networking, or IT infrastructure, with expertise in IP networking, DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing), or Access networks. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are essential, as this role involves frequent collaboration with customers, internal stakeholders, and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Customer Engagement & Sales Support
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements, business environments, and project needs.

  • Develop project win strategies and create value propositions for technical proposals.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, guiding them on network architecture, product selection, and solution design.

  1. Solution Design & Technical Leadership
  • Design and plan transmission and access network solutions based on customer needs.

  • Lead or support presales efforts, including solution design, request for quotation (RFQ), and Bill of Quotation (BOQ) preparation.

  • Engage with internal stakeholders such as product managers and headquarters technical experts to ensure solution feasibility and alignment with company strategy.

  1. Proposal Development & Presentations
  • Prepare and deliver formal technical proposals, solution architectures, and presentations to key customers.

  • Ensure that all proposed solutions align with customer requirements and business objectives.

  • Work with internal solution teams to ensure that key customer requirements are incorporated into the final design.

  1. Stakeholder & Customer Influence
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.

  • Provide technical guidance and insights to help customers make informed decisions.

  • Actively participate in customer negotiations, ensuring alignment between technical capabilities and business expectations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in presales, technical sales, or product management within a telecom or networking company.

  • Strong understanding of customer engagement, including handling technical discussions, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.

  • Proficiency in English is mandatory.

  • Expertise in at least one of the following domains:

  • IP Networking (Routers, Switches, SDN)

  • DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing)

  • Access Networks (FTTH, GPON, xDSL)

  • Ability to design, plan, and optimize transmission or access networks.

  • Solid knowledge of network analysis, optimization, and troubleshooting.

  • Strong presales expertise, including customer handling, conflict resolution, and negotiation.

  • Ability to translate customer requirements into High-Level Design (HLD) solutions.

  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills to communicate complex solutions effectively.

  • Strong negotiation skills to influence customers and internal stakeholders.
