About the Role
As a Machine Learning Engineer / Data Solutions Developer, you’ll collaborate closely with ML-Ops and Data Science professionals to bring data-driven products to life—turning complex industrial challenges into real, scalable solutions. This is a hands-on, technical role within small, agile product teams that are cross-functional and delivery-focused.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop ML pipelines for a variety of industrial data sources
Conduct technical spikes to shape engineering and operations roadmaps
Work with internal stakeholders across domains like Safety, Ethics, and Cybersecurity
Mentor junior developers and data scientists
Own full product lifecycles: from problem framing to delivery of working solutions
Deliver Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) to enable scale-up
Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, code quality, and team culture

Preferred Experience or Skills:
Background in software, data, or machine learning systems
Experience building apps, back-ends, APIs, or scalable data products
Exposure to ML/AI tools, statistical modeling, or computational pipelines
Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams with agile practices
Tech Stack (Experience in any of these is a plus, not mandatory):
Data: Time-series, spatial, streaming, batching, serialization, versioning
Languages & Libraries: Python, R, Java, bash, yaml; Pandas, Scikit-learn, Tidyverse, PySpark, PyTorch
Cloud & Infra: AWS, Postgres, Sagemaker, Airflow, Lambda, Glue, ECS
Dev Tools: Docker, Terraform, DVC, Azure DevOps, VSCode, PyCharm (mostly Linux-based environments)
