Role Purpose:

As an Accountant, you will play a key role in providing high-quality taxation and accounting services to our diverse client base while being provided the opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and complete annual accounts for trusts, companies, and partnerships.
  • Handling tax returns for individuals, trusts, companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
  • Managing GST, Business Activity Statements, and Instalment Activity statements.
  • Calculating CGT and Div 7A and providing valuable advice to clients.
  • Support clients with various non-tax related business and company compliance.
  • Bookkeeping, where applicable.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting / finance or ideally qualified in ACCA / CIMA / CA / CPA.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in public practice, preparing annual accounts, and tax returns for individuals and businesses.
  • Advanced understanding of the Corporations Act, relevant accounting standards, tax legislation, and other related research.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, and individuals, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations, and completion.
  • Extensive knowledge of taxation legislation.
  • Detailed knowledge of tax office correspondence and procedures.
  • Excellent time management and work prioritisation skills.
  • Willingness to contribute to internal process improvement.
