About the Role
As Production Manager, you will report directly to the Head of Operations and lead manufacturing functions to meet production, quality, safety, and cost objectives. You will oversee day-to-day operations across multiple shifts and be accountable for resource planning, team development, and strategic improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring operational oversight, team management, and process optimization in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
Coach, mentor, and develop team members, ensuring alignment with performance management systems.
Build and retain a high-performing team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Act as a role model for company values and code of conduct, including safety, ethics, and compliance.
Operations Management
Oversee production activities to ensure safety, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and on-time delivery.
Lead site improvement plans and set performance goals tied to operational KPIs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance workflow, reduce downtime, and drive process improvements.
Ensure adherence to quality systems and ISO 9000 standards.
Maintenance Oversight
Supervise preventative and corrective maintenance schedules across the facility.
Work closely with technical and maintenance teams to maintain equipment performance.
Recommend and coordinate cost-effective upgrades or modifications of machinery.
Health, Safety, and Compliance
Champion health and safety protocols, ensuring a hazard-free workplace.
Maintain legal, corporate, and environmental compliance standards across all operational activities.
Reporting & Strategic Planning
Analyze operational data to inform long-term improvement plans.
Contribute to annual operating plans and participate in strategic planning with senior leadership.
Monitor inventory, procurement, and supply chain processes to support production continuity.
Job Requirements:
Willing to work in Semarang, Central Java.
Bachelor's degree required, ideally in Industrial Engineering or related field.
4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Experience in apparel, packaging, printing, or supply chain manufacturing is a strong advantage.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing, continuous flow, and efficiency frameworks (e.g., ELS).
Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive operational excellence.
Strong understanding of financial performance drivers within manufacturing.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills.
