Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processes for employees in compliance with Indonesian labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of salary, bonuses, allowances, benefits, BPJS, PPh 21, THR, and other statutory components.
- Maintain and update payroll systems and data, ensuring high standards of data integrity and confidentiality.
- Handle monthly and annual tax reporting, including SPT 1721 and reconciliation with the tax office.
- Act as a subject matter expert on payroll-related matters and advise internal stakeholders on policy and compliance issues.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure alignment of payroll, budgeting, and employee compensation activities.
- Lead payroll-related audits and implement corrective actions if necessary.
- Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with external vendors, such as payroll software providers or tax consultants.
- Continuously improve payroll processes and recommend automation or technology enhancements.
- Keep abreast of changes in labor law, tax, and social security regulations in Indonesia.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in payroll, with at least 4-5 years in a payroll consulting firm (e.g., Deloitte, EY, ADP, Ramco, Orisoft, or local consulting firms).
- Deep understanding of Indonesian payroll compliance, including BPJS Kesehatan & Ketenagakerjaan, PPh 21, and HRIS/payroll systems.
- Proven experience managing multi-client payrolls or large-scale payroll operations is a strong advantage.
- Strong command of Excel, e-SPT, and payroll software (e.g., Talenta, Mekari, SAP, or equivalent).
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to manage a small team or work cross-functionally.
- Fluent in English (both spoken and written).
