Job Role:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Mandarin-speaking Accountant Specialist to join their Indonesia-based operations. This position is pivotal to the company’s ongoing efforts to deliver full-chain, door-to-door logistics services across industrial sectors such as mining, smelting, and construction—especially supporting Chinese-funded enterprises within the Belt & Road Initiative.
As an Accountant Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the company’s financial reporting, bookkeeping, and internal controls, with a strong focus on compliance with Indonesian tax regulations and transfer pricing practices. The role includes the preparation of periodic financial reports, reconciliation of bank statements, implementation of SOPs, and audit support.
The ideal candidate will bring strong bilingual communication skills (Mandarin and English), hands-on experience in general ledger accounting (preferably in shipping or logistics), and solid proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel. Your work will contribute directly to improving financial transparency, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance in a fast-growing international logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Financial Reports
- Create regular financial documents, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, LKPM reports, and monthly financial closings.
- Reconcile Accounts
- Match and verify the company’s bank statements with internal bookkeeping records to ensure accuracy.
- Manage Financial Systems
- Set up and maintain the company’s accounting and financial software for daily operations and reporting.
- Generate Financial Summaries
- Compile financial reports using data on income and expenses to reflect the company’s performance.
- Analyze Financial Data
- Interpret financial data to assess the company's overall financial health and identify trends or risks.
- Support Audits & Transfer Pricing
- Coordinate internal and external audits and assist in transfer pricing documentation and compliance.
- Ensure Compliance
- Make sure all financial practices follow Indonesian accounting standards, tax laws, and other regulations.
- Oversee Internal System (Chinese interface)
- Manage the company’s internal finance system, review invoices, and process payment requests submitted through the platform.
- Conduct Reporting & Internal Checks
- Analyze and report on the company’s financial position (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow), and assist in internal control evaluations.
- Document Management
- Organize and file accounting vouchers and related documentation in a timely and orderly manner.
- Develop Financial SOPs
- Help establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for finance-related tasks.
- Provide Internal Support
- Assist the headquarters with financial matters and respond to inquiries from colleagues across departments.
Candidate Requirements:
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
- Experience: at least 2 years hands-on experience in general ledger accounting within the Shipping or Logistics business.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent command of English and Mandarin on professional and business level.
- Technical Expertise: Knowledge of relevant tax laws in accordance with the tax system in Indonesia, and accounting regulations and practices.
- Technical Skills: Good practical experience with finance software and MS Office, particularly Excel, and in accounting software and bookkeeping programs, such as Oracle or EBS.
- Professional Qualities: Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, and good time, as well as organizational management skills.
- Personal Attributes: Highly ethical with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information,
- Flexibility: Willingness to accept long-term overseas assignments.
