About the Company:

Our client is a publicly listed company on the Indonesian Stock Exchange, our client is a leading player in the ceramic, porcelain, and granite tile industry, serving diverse market segments through well-known brands.

This role will be under its subsidiary. It has an extensive network of more 46 sub-distributors spread in nearly every major city and town in Indonesia and approximately 21 thousand retail outlets.

Job Role:

The Accounting Manager will lead the finance and accounting functions as well as a team of three. This role focuses on managing the day-to-day financial operations of a fast-moving, high-volume distribution business, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with Indonesian financial regulations, and effective internal control systems.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in the distribution or retail industry, along with proven ability to manage accounting teams, support business strategy with financial insights, and work closely with supply chain, commercial, and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Compliance
    • Oversee the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
    • Ensure compliance with PSAK (Indonesian GAAP), tax regulations, and other relevant standards.
    • Coordinate external audits and ensure timely completion with clean audit results.
  • Accounting Operations
    • Manage all accounting processes, including AR, AP, inventory, cash flow, GL, and journal entries.
    • Monitor reconciliation of bank accounts, ledgers, and other financial statements.
    • Ensure timely closing of books and submission of reports to management and head office.
  • Internal Controls & Risk Management
    • Design and implement effective internal control systems for financial processes.
    • Identify financial risks and recommend strategies to minimize exposure.
    • Monitor operational compliance, particularly for stock handling, distributor transactions, and credit control.
  • Business Support & Analysis
    • Provide regular financial analysis to support strategic decisions (e.g., margin analysis, cost-to-serve, credit exposure).
    • Work with commercial and logistics teams to improve financial efficiency in the distribution process.
    • Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance review processes.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree: Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Years of Experience: At least 7 years of experience in Accounting, including 2 years in a managerial role (leading a team of subordinates).
  • Language: English (able to read, write, and speak).
  • Industry: Manufacturing of similar products, or Distribution, or Retail.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong understanding of Indonesian tax laws, PSAK, and financial compliance.
    • Experience managing inventory accounting, AR/AP processes, and distribution-related financial reporting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems).
  • Professional Qualities:
    • Strong leadership and people management skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
    • Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
