Job Role:

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Mandarin-speaking Camera Product Manager to join their dynamic team in India. This role offers a unique opportunity to ensure the highest standards of camera quality and image aesthetics for Transsion’s smartphone brands, tailored to diverse emerging markets across Southeast Asia, South Asia, Africa, and beyond.

Your primary responsibilities will be to test camera effects for high-quality imaging projects, track and manage issue resolution, create and update local test cases and standards, and set up robust test environments to support these activities. You will work closely with the Image Technology team to execute iterative tests and report results that drive continuous improvement.

This position demands someone who is self-motivated, creative, and proactive, with a strong understanding of professional retouching processes and deep expertise in image aesthetics. You must be able to operate independently, deliver within tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that Transsion’s camera and imaging solutions consistently exceed user expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end product planning, development, and lifecycle management for software functions and application products.
• Design and execute test plans for camera effects and high-quality imaging projects, track issues, and drive timely resolution.
• Develop and update localized test cases and quality standards; set up and maintain test environments.
• Perform professional photo retouching using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or Capture One, ensuring alignment with brand aesthetics and user expectations.
• Apply advanced beauty retouching techniques and create diverse image effects to appeal to target audiences.
• Stay current with fashion, beauty, and imaging trends to continuously elevate product visual quality.
• Gather and analyze user feedback on retouched images through structured surveys and questionnaires.
• Work closely with the Image Technology team to conduct iterative tests and report results, ensuring high standards of image quality.

Candidate Requirements:

• Open to all nationals, especially SEA countries - a Mandarin speaker who is able to travel to India without visa issues (either has a visa or can apply for an Indian visa).
• Educational Qualification: A full-time undergraduate degree or higher.
• Experience: Over 5 years of experience in product development, product management, and lifecycle management of camera or imaging.
• Industry Expertise: Consumer Electronics, especially Mobile Phones, Smartphones, etc.
• Preferred Expertise: Candidates with prior experience as bloggers, photographers, mobile product KOLs, or those with educational backgrounds in photography, art, or computer programming.
• Language Proficiency: Excellent command of English and Mandarin on professional and business level.
• Technical & Creative Skills:
  • Passion for photography and selfies, with a keen eye for image quality and aesthetics.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office tools.
  • Skilled in professional photo retouching and image enhancement processes.
