Job Role:
As the team continues to grow, the company remains committed to nurturing local Indonesian talent while bringing them up to par with international standards—through structured development pipelines, creative collaboration, and global exposure, to lead and support both production and technical operations for games and animation content, for end users who are virtual influencers who do AI-streaming.
Currently, they are seeking an experienced, technically fluent, and highly organized Head of Studio. This is a critical position for driving overall studio excellence, strategic planning, and operational discipline. The Head of Studio will also play a key role in bringing local Indonesian talent up to international production standards, through structured development, mentoring, and exposure to global workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning & Management
- Develop and manage project schedules and budgets.
- Oversee vendor collaboration: scoping, communication, timeline enforcement, and quality delivery.
- Translate creative briefs and high-level project requirements into executable production plans.
- Forecast feedback and review cycles and adapt timelines accordingly.
- Track production milestones and ensure on-time delivery.
- Monitor and manage production costs and resource allocation.
- Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Lead creative and technical direction for animation sequences.
- Facilitate communication across art and development teams for time-sensitive delivery.
- Anticipate issues and resolve internal conflicts that may impede progress.
- Maintain production alignment and proactively course-correct when needed.
- Technical Workflow Oversight
- Manage production pipelines involving game engines and Git-based version control.
- Oversee asset integration into Unity and ensure quality consistency.
- Coordinate closely with QA teams to uphold delivery standards.
- Conduct visual QC and enforce visual benchmark consistency across teams.
- Pipeline Optimization & Problem Solving
- Detecting and resolving workflow bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Improve cross-team pipelines to maximize speed and output quality.
- Recognize early signs of workflow disruption and initiate preventive actions.
Candidate Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant field such as:
- Game Development
- Animation
- Digital Media
- Computer Science
- Creative Technology
- or equivalent practical experience in the industry
- Industry Expertise
- Minimum 7 years of experience in game development or animation production within film, gaming, or animation industry or agency
- Strong background in managing end-to-end production workflows, including cross-functional teams and external vendors
- Prior experience working with game engines (particularly Unity), and familiarity with technical pipelines, version control systems, and asset integration processes
- Hands-on knowledge of 3D production tools like Autodesk Maya
- Experience with mobile and/or PC games or cinematic animation
- Technical & Leadership Skills
- Proficiency with Unity and Git-based version control systems
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Maya
- Strong production and team management skills, especially across art, tech, and QA functions
- Ability to perform visual QC and uphold consistent quality benchmarks
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities
- Personal Requirements
- Must be an Indonesian citizen
- Must not be color blind (due to visual asset review responsibilities)
- Able to work full-time on-site at Scientia, Gading Serpong, South Tangerang
- Strong intuition and adaptability—able to anticipate and act on workflow misalignments without explicit cues
- Portfolio submission is required: long duration with details, including expressions, emotions, voice, etc.
