Job Role

The SSD Product Manager leads the pre-sales promotion and technical solutioning of the client's data center infrastructure offerings, including data center integration, UPS, precision cooling, and modular data center (micro-module) solutions.

This role combines solution ownership, project engagement, and strategic customer influence, supporting end-to-end activities from requirement gathering and RFP response to solution design and technical presentation. The Product Manager collaborates with internal sales and technical teams, while also serving as a key technical voice in front of customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Project Engagement
    • Lead pre-sales support for data center projects from early-stage planning to bidding and solution delivery.
    • Define technical standards, guide solution architecture, and align project budget and bid strategy.
    • Participate in RFI/RFP processes, including requirement analysis, solution design, SOC response, and technical proposal creation.
  • Solution Promotion & Customer Engagement
    • Promote Huawei’s data center infrastructure solutions—including integration services, UPS, air conditioning, and micro-module systems.
    • Conduct technical presentations, lead discussions with customer technical and procurement teams, and act as the trusted technical advisor.
    • Develop business models aligned with customer priorities and long-term infrastructure plans.
  • Market Development
    • Identify and drive data center opportunities by conducting market analysis, expanding industry relationships, and managing sales pipelines.
    • Engage in business planning and target setting in coordination with sales and channel teams.
    • Support sales targets by driving technical strategy and product positioning in enterprise and carrier segments.
  • Industry Representation & Branding
    • Represent Huawei as a speaker at industry conferences, forums, and customer events.
    • Communicate technical value propositions effectively to position Huawei as a market-leading data center provider.

Candidate Requirements

  • Education: At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other ICT-related disciplines.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the data center infrastructure industry, with hands-on exposure to product solution sales, project operations, or integrated facility design.
  • Industry Expertise: Professional knowledge of data center architecture, power supply, cooling systems, and infrastructure deployment. Experience in carrier, government, or enterprise verticals is preferred.
  • Product and Customer Expertise:
    • Responsible for promoting and delivering Huawei’s L1-level infrastructure solutions, including data center integration, UPS, precision air conditioning, and micro-module systems.
    • Experienced in managing both technical and business discussions with end users, contractors, and system integrators.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Skilled in handling RFI/RFP, requirement gathering, solution architecture, and SOC/technical proposal development.
    • Strong understanding of power and thermal systems, DC layout planning, and infrastructure lifecycle.
  • Language: Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
  • Professional Qualities:
    • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to represent Huawei in public forums or industry events.
    • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with cross-functional teams.
    • Target-driven and capable of supporting both technical wins and shared revenue objectives with the sales team.
