Job Role
The client is looking for an experienced and proactive HR Manager to lead all human resources functions for its operations in Malang, including oversight of multiple manufacturing partners and production sites.
This role will be responsible for designing and executing HR strategies that support business objectives while ensuring full compliance with Indonesian labor laws and HR best practices. The HR Manager will lead recruitment, employee relations, training, and performance management, and will be a key driver of organizational development and cultural alignment.
You’ll serve as a strategic partner to the General Manager and operational teams, helping to shape a productive, compliant, and engaged workforce. This role also involves managing communication with external partners, resolving complex HR issues, and building scalable systems to support a growing regional footprint.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures supporting company goals and objectives.
- Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Ensure compliance with all Indonesian labour laws, regulations, and company policies across sites.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling.
- Oversee performance appraisal systems and talent management processes to drive employee growth and high performance.
- Plan and coordinate training and development programs to enhance team skills and competencies.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality and data integrity.
- Administer compensation, benefits, and payroll processes to ensure competitiveness and compliance.
- Monitor and analyse HR metrics (e.g., turnover rates, absenteeism) to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
- Foster positive employee and industrial relations, including communication and negotiation with labour unions/councils where applicable.
- Support organizational development initiatives, including succession planning, restructuring, and change management.
Candidate Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources/Psychology/Law/Business Administration/or a related field.
- Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years of HR management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Language: fluency in English (verbal and written) on a professional level.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proven knowledge of Indonesian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training & development in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively with partners and internal stakeholders.
