Role Description:

This is a vital role that requires quality engineering and technical capabilities. The role has direct client exposure in delivering software solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to test planning, test design, test execution to ensure quality throughout the entire product life cycle with minimal or no supervision.
  • Identify opportunities for test automation and create automation test scripts to accelerate testing cycles with minimal or no supervision.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for web applications.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QE engineers to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
  • Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects or issues.
  • Continuously improve test automation frameworks and practices.
  • Ensure test coverage is comprehensive and aligns with business requirements.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and other development workflows.
  • Focused on delivering quality software products with better end-user experience
  • Provides realistic and accurate estimates and achieve on-time Delivery.
  • Ensures that artifacts produced are of the highest quality, conforming to set or agreed upon standards. Should advocate such consistency to all members of the team.
  • Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Coordinate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, gathering requirements and resolving issues.

Years of Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of Quality Engineering experience is required.

Must Have Skills:

  • Software testing & quality engineering process experience: 3+ years.

o Test planning

o Test design

o Test execution

o Reporting

  • Test Automation: 2+ years

o Hands on experience in test automation scripting and framework development

o Proven experience with Playwright test automation framework.

o Strong programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, or another relevant language.

o Solid understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

o Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD).

  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with Agile Software Development.
  • Test case management tools and defect management tools.

Nice to have skills:

  • Experience with Playwright’s Advanced Features
  • Performance Testing: Knowledge of performance testing principles and tools can help in integrating performance testing with Playwright automation.
  • Experience with API testing and integration of API tests within the Playwright framework can be beneficial.

Option to upskill:

  • Candidate should be open to upskill and move to emerging technologies and trends in quality engineering and test automation.
  • Non – functional testing.

Qualifications:

Individuals should possess a bachelor's degree in computing, Information Technology or another relevant field.

Preferred Certifications:

ISTQB – Certified Foundation Level

ISTQB -Agile Tester
