Responsibilities:
- Advise on cross-border electricity cooperation frameworks, drawing from relevant ASEAN, APEC, and East Asia Summit models.
- Facilitate policy dialogues and consultations with participating energy ministries, regulators, and regional groupings.
- Provide strategic guidance on investment promotion, including regulatory readiness, public-private partnerships, and investor facilitation.
- Provide inputs and/or prepare technical inputs, briefing papers, and stakeholder engagement plans for multilateral meetings and intergovernmental workshops.
- Support international and regional working groups on electricity policy harmonization and capacity-building programs.
Requirments:
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in matters relating to energy cooperation, energy transition, electricity investment, or related energy affairs.
- Proven track record coordinating regional policy initiatives involving domestic or international South Asia / South-East Asia stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of bilateral and multilateral donor engagement strategies in the electricity sector.
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating investor engagement and early-stage project feasibility in the energy sector.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently across time zones.
- Good English communication skills. Knowledge of other South Asia languages is a plus, but not required.
- Able to accommodate quarterly travel in South Asia (up to 3 days at one time).
