Role Overview

Shirohana is seeking a well-presented and articulate Cashier to join our luxury floral retail team. The Cashier will be the first and last point of contact for our customers, ensuring smooth transactions while delivering the warm, refined service that reflects our brand. This role requires excellent spoken English, attention to detail, and a friendly yet professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers courteously and provide an exceptional service experience.
• Handle billing and transactions (cash, card, online payments) accurately.
• Manage the Point-of-Sale (POS) system and maintain daily cash balancing.
• Assist customers with product inquiries, coordinating with florists as required.
• Communicate fluently and confidently in English when serving customers.
• Maintain the presentation and organization of the cashier desk.
• Support shop operations including gift packaging and assisting with orders when needed.
• Ensure all transactions follow company policies and maintain confidentiality of customer details.

Qualifications & Skills

• Prior cashier or front-of-house experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service preferred.
• Excellent spoken English; Sinhala/Tamil an advantage.
• Strong numeracy and accuracy in cash handling.
• Well-groomed, professional appearance and polite demeanor.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, customer-focused retail environment.
• Positive attitude and team player.

Work Conditions

• Location: Shirohana Borella (with potential rotation to other branches).
• Full-time role; must be available on weekends and holidays.
• Training on Shirohana brand standards and systems provided.
