The Role
You’ll be the Head of Operations—the person who ensures Zyner runs smoothly every single day.
From hiring to training, production to delivery, team culture to client experience—this is your territory.
You’re not just managing the team. You’ll also be the bridge between Zyner and our clients, joining kickoff calls, checking in weekly, and making sure they’re happy with what we’re building.
Your job is to make production flawless and clients feel heard. No missed deadlines. No confusion. No slipping quality. No silence. Just a clear path from “task received” to “client happy.”

What You’ll Own
Hiring & Onboarding
- Reach out to universities and networks in Sri Lanka to find top talent (designers, PMs, QA, etc.)
- Run full-cycle hiring: sourcing, screening, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding
- Set up bootcamps and trials to help interns grow fast and prove their value
- Manage contracts, agreements, and onboarding processes
Team & Production Management
- Run daily standups and weekly syncs with internal teams
- Manage the full pipeline of tasks and deliverables
- Provide ongoing feedback, mentorship, and motivation to ensure high performance
- Solve people problems with empathy and speed
- Review the output of design and ops teams and ensure high production quality across all service types
Process Building & Optimization
- Own the company’s internal operations—create, update, and scale SOPs for every role
- Build systems for task flow, communication, and documentation
- Make sure the right tools (Slack, ClickUp, Figma, Framer, Notion) are used the right way
- Bring ideas to improve production speed, accuracy, and quality
Client Experience & Relationship Building
- Join all kickoff calls to meet new clients, understand their needs, and help set expectations
- Maintain regular weekly check-ins with clients to gather feedback, spot issues early, and make sure they’re 100% happy
- Proactively ask clients: Are you happy with the quality? Is there anything we can improve?
- Relay insights from clients to the team and CEO to continuously improve our services
- Become the internal voice of the client—your job is to keep them feeling supported, listened to, and cared for
Culture & Engagement
- Organize bonding activities, meetups, and events to keep the team culture alive
- Help create a strong, collaborative, “we build together” vibe across the company
- Celebrate team wins, highlight top performers, and keep motivation high
Business Alignment
- Understand the company’s financial and growth goals (MRR, retention, CAC, etc.)
- Help forecast hiring needs based on upcoming client load
- Work with the CEO and leadership to align team structure with business needs
- Be the CEO’s right hand when it comes to internal ops and external delivery

Who You Are
- You’ve built and led teams before—bonus if it was in a fast-paced, design-driven, or startup environment
- You’re a strong communicator—internally with your team, and externally with clients
- You understand design quality even if you’re not a designer yourself
- You’re not afraid to get into the weeds—building processes, reviewing designs, or jumping on client calls
- You’re a natural manager who people trust, respect, and follow
- You genuinely care about people and performance—you want the team to succeed, and you want clients to stay for the long run

Must-Have Skills
- 3+ years in operations, team management, or people-focused leadership
- Experience running hiring pipelines and onboarding systems
- Excellent written and verbal English (client communication is key)
- Confident on video calls and async tools (Slack, Notion, ClickUp, etc.)
- Strategic thinking—you see the big picture while executing the day-to-day
- Experience managing remote teams across time zones
