Business Development Specialist / Executive – Hospitality Sector (HORECA)

Are you passionate about sales, hospitality, and building long-term client relationships? We’re on the lookout for a dynamic Business Development Specialist / Executive to join our team and help drive growth in the HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, and Catering) sector across Sri Lanka.

In this role, you'll play a key part in identifying and converting new hospitality projects — both BOI and non-BOI — while promoting tailored OS&E (Operating Supplies & Equipment) solutions that create value for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

🔹Identify and engage new business opportunities in the HORECA sector 🔹Conduct cold calls, site visits, and client meetings to build relationships 🔹Present and promote customized OS&E solutions based on client needs 🔹Collaborate with internal teams to prepare accurate BOQs and proposals 🔹Update CRM systems with leads, client interactions, and follow-ups 🔹Track market trends and competitor activities in the hospitality space 🔹Coordinate internally for pricing, logistics, and after-sales service 🔹Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

What We’re Looking For

🔸Experience

  • 1–3 years in business development or project-based sales
  • Prior experience in the hospitality or HORECA sector is a distinct advantage
  • Exposure to project sales environments is preferred

🔸Education

  • Degree or diploma in Business Management, Hospitality, or a related field
  • Sales or technical certifications related to the hospitality industry are a plus

🔸Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English and Sinhala (Tamil is an added advantage)
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and confident
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and time management

🔸Technical Skills

  • Understanding of OS&E and the ability to prepare BOQs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience using CRM tools and digital sales platforms
  • Comfortable with research and data analysis
