Purpose of the Role: The Junior Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the execution and successful completion of assigned projects within the Projects Division. The role requires sound knowledge of Kitchen Equipment, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) installation and design. The individual will collaborate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project deliverables are achieved on time, within scope, and in line with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate with clients, designers, and engineers to align Kitchen systems with project requirements.
  • Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct engineering calculations and resolve technical challenges in MEP systems.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to ensure seamless integration of systems and resolve design conflicts.
  • Conduct site inspections and oversee installation quality.
  • Implement quality control procedures and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Supervise testing and commissioning of Kitchen systems.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and prepare progress reports.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.
  • Support the pre-bid and tendering process, including BOQ preparation, supplier coordination, and document compilation.

Job Requirements – Junior Project Engineer

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2–3 years in project engineering, MEP engineering, or a related field.

Education:

  • Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Licensing & Certification:

  • Valid driving license.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability.
  • Effective problem-solving and time management.
  • Client relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Leadership qualities, ethics, and integrity.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of construction and MEP engineering practices.
  • Familiarity with Kitchen equipment installation and related systems.
  • Ability to conduct project and installation risk assessments.
  • Proficiency in clearance processes, inspections, and project documentation.
