Job Overview: Shirohana is seeking a dynamic Retail Shop Manager to take full responsibility for one of our luxury flower shops. The Shop Manager will oversee daily operations, lead the florist and support team, drive sales, and uphold the high standards of creativity, service, and presentation that define the Shirohana brand. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines people management with operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of the shop’s day-to-day operations.
- Manage, train, and motivate the team of florists and shop staff.
- Monitor performance of staff and provide coaching where needed.
- Ensure shop displays, arrangements, and customer service reflect Shirohana’s brand image.
- Drive sales through effective customer engagement and upselling.
- Manage stock ordering, rotation, and coordination with distribution.
- Handle customer requests, complaints, and special orders with professionalism.
- Oversee cash handling, daily reconciliation, and reporting.
- Conduct daily shop walk-throughs to ensure readiness, cleanliness, and presentation.
- Report performance, sales, and staff matters to Head of Retail.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in retail management (luxury, lifestyle, or floristry experience is an advantage).
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and manage operations.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and during seasonal peaks.
- Creative interest in flowers, design, or customer-focused retail.
