Educational Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Export/Import Management, Shipping, or Logistics is an added advantage.
Professional Skills
- Knowledge of export-import regulations & customs clearance
- Familiarity with shipping documents (Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, COO, Phytosanitary Certificate, etc.).
- Good understanding of Incoterms, HS Codes, and trade compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP software.
Soft Skills
· Co-ordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams (logistics, operations) to ensure smooth and timely processing of shipments.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle documentation accurately.
- Time management and ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders (suppliers, freight forwarders, customs, buyers).
· Maintaining accurate and organized recordsof all export transactions and documentation.
· Providing clear and accurate informationto management and other parties.
Experience
- Entry-level roles may require 3 years in logistics, shipping, or export documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Preparation:
Creating and reviewing essential export documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and letters of credit.
- Coordination:
Liaising with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams (logistics, operations) to ensure smooth and timely processing of shipments.
- Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate and organized records of all export transactions and documentation.
- Issue Resolution:
Addressing and resolving any issues, claims, or complaints related to export documentation and shipments.
- Communication:
Providing clear and accurate information to customers, management, and other stakeholders.
