About the Role
This role is ideal for someone eager to apply design thinking, experiment with ideas, and gain hands-on experience working on real-world products. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to design user experiences that impact both students and instructors.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Teams: Work with product managers and stakeholders to translate user needs into thoughtful design solutions.
- Design Wireframes & Prototypes: Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes for web and mobile using Figma.
- Bridge Design & Development: Ensure designs are feasible by understanding basic frontend concepts and working with developers during implementation.
- Responsive Design: Design interfaces that adapt seamlessly across devices and screen sizes.
- Version Management: Maintain design versions in tools like Figma and coordinate with developers to ensure design consistency.
- User-Centric Improvements: Incorporate usability testing feedback to improve the overall experience.
- Stay Updated: Keep up with UI/UX trends, best practices, and contribute to building or improving design systems and component libraries.
Requirements
- Education: No formal degree required – we value a strong portfolio that demonstrates creativity and user-focused design thinking.
- Experience: 0–2 years in UI/UX design (academic projects, freelance, or personal work count).
- Design Tools: Proficiency in Figma (knowledge of Shadcn UI is an advantage).
- Frontend Awareness: Familiarity with basic concepts like HTML and CSS to assess feasibility of designs.
- Design Skills: Understanding of responsive/adaptive design principles. Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG compliance). Ability to suggest or maintain design systems/components. Strong attention to detail and visual aesthetics.
