Job Role:
Our client, who is preparing to expand into new ventures with international partners, is seeking a Mandarin-fluent Business Liaison Executive.
This role will act as the bridge between the company’s leadership and foreign (particularly Chinese) counterparts, ensuring smooth communication, coordination, and follow-up of business initiatives. The ideal candidate is a young yet mature professional with a technology or STEM background, strong business understanding, and excellent Mandarin fluency, capable of supporting strategic discussions, partnership activities, and early-stage market research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main liaison between the company’s CEO, internal teams, and foreign (mainly Chinese) business partners.
- Support the CEO in communication, documentation, and coordination related to potential partnerships and joint business initiatives.
- Conduct market and industry research to support new business ventures, including trend analysis, feasibility assessments, and competitor benchmarking.
- Assist in preparing business proposals, reports, presentations, and bilingual materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate cross-cultural communication to ensure clarity in technical and commercial discussions.
- Support administrative and project coordination tasks, including scheduling, logistics, and vendor follow-ups.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive company and partner information.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Management, STEM, or related fields; must have graduated from a Chinese university for cultural alignment
- 3–5 years experience (preferably 5) in Business Development, Strategic Sourcing, or Executive Assistant roles with exposure to the China market, including managing high-tech vendors and supporting CEOs or senior executives
- Proficient in English and Bahasa Indonesia; native or near-native fluency in Mandarin for business negotiations and technical discussions
- Strong cultural intelligence with deep understanding of Chinese business etiquette, negotiation tactics, and corporate governance
- Hands-on technical sourcing skills: project analysis, product specification matching, and supply chain follow-ups
- Highly analytical, structured problem-solving, operationally excellent, and able to manage multiple priorities while supporting executive needs
- High discretion, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive corporate and personal data
- Willingness and ability to travel to China frequently or stay for extended periods
- Strategic thinker, strong execution, professional, presentable, and culturally adaptable to interact comfortably with senior executives and international partners
