Job Role:
The Finance and Accounting Coordinator will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial and accounting operations within the New Business Development Division, focusing on sales-related transactions, distributor payments, channel accounts, and reimbursement processes for sales teams across areas.
This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, monitoring cost and budget utilization, and supporting commercial decision-making through financial analysis. The role requires strong communication and coordination skills, particularly in working closely with expatriate management (Head of New Business Development and CFO), as well as proficiency in Mandarin for daily operational communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily finance and accounting operations related to sales and commercial activities, including payment processing to distributors and handling sales team reimbursements.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, cost vs budget reports, and profit margin analyses.
- Monitor the division’s financial performance, operational costs, and budget allocation to ensure efficient financial management.
- Coordinate with the Head Office Finance Accounting team for report consolidation, cash flow management, and operational payments.
- Supervise a small finance team (3–4 members) to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely completion of tasks.
- Manage tax-related matters, including calculation and payment of applicable taxes and fees, in coordination with the corporate tax team.
- Conduct financial reviews of contracts to identify and mitigate potential financial risks.
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the New Business Development Division.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic and commercial initiatives.
- Ensure proper documentation, control, and compliance with internal financial policies and regulations.
Candidate Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or budgeting roles, and has been in supervisory roles in the past 2 years.
- Supporting the commercial operations within FMCG industries.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with OA-NCC system is an advantage.
- Language Skills: Proficient in English (oral and written) and Mandarin (spoken) to communicate with expatriate reporting lines, and management teams.
- Professional Skills:
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, costing, and tax regulations.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prepare and interpret financial statements and variance analyses.
