One of our reputed clients in the Hospitality Industry in Qatar is looking for talented and experienced Pastry / Baker Chefs to manage and lead bakery operations, ensuring high-quality production and innovation in baked goods.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee daily bakery operations and ensure timely production of baked goods.
- Create and develop new bread, pastry, and dessert recipes from scratch (without pre-mixes).
- Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
- Supervise and train bakery and pastry staff, ensuring hygiene and quality standards.
- Manage staff scheduling, attendance, and performance.
- Handle disciplinary actions and resolve team conflicts when required.
- Monitor inventory, control wastage, and ensure adequate supply of raw materials.
- Enforce strict food safety and sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with management for menu planning and seasonal offerings.
- Ensure equipment maintenance and proper operation.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and creativity in the workplace.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and improvement initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in professional baking and pastry production.
- Proven ability to bake bread, cakes, and pastries without pre-mixes.
- Strong recipe creation and innovation skills.
- Prior experience in team management and leadership.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- High sense of confidentiality, reliability, and professionalism.
- Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
