Job Role:

The Sales Assistant Manager – Heavy Equipment Sector will be responsible for developing and expanding company's business portfolio with clients in the mining, construction, and heavy machinery sectors. This role focuses on acquiring and managing B2B customers who require end-to-end logistics solutions for heavy equipment transportation, import/export, and project logistics.

The ideal candidate will combine strong sales experience in the heavy equipment industry with solid business acumen and technical understanding of logistics operations. This position involves end-to-end client handling — from prospecting, presentations, and negotiation, to contract closing and after-sales coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets aligned with company goals.
  • Identify, approach, and maintain strong relationships with clients in the mining, construction, and industrial equipment sectors.
  • Present and propose customized logistics solutions tailored to client requirements.
  • Prepare competitive quotations, proposals, and tenders; lead pricing discussions and contract negotiations.
  • Conduct regular site visits to customer facilities and project sites to assess logistics needs and explore new opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with internal operations, technical, and after-sales teams to ensure smooth delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Provide accurate and timely sales reports, forecasts, and market insights to management.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging customer needs to refine business strategies.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience:
    • At least 5 years of experience in Sales functions.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in Sales within a heavy machinery, industrial equipment, or project logistics company.
    • Proven track record in managing accounts in the mining or construction sector.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong understanding of heavy equipment and logistics solutions (transportation, handling, and project cargo).
    • Familiarity with customer operations in mining and industrial sectors.
  • Language Skills: English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional Qualities:
    • Smart, proactive, and target-driven.
    • Strong business acumen and relationship management skills.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
