Our client is a collaboration formed to build Indonesia’s first large-scale electric vehicle (EV) battery manufacturing ecosystem and by combining the world-leading lithium-ion technology with Indonesia’s rich mineral resources and industrial capability.

Currently in its development phase, the JV employs around 70 team members, while the new factory is being completed, scheduled for full operation in January 2026. This position will be part of the pioneering local team, reporting to an expatriate mentor from China who will transfer operational knowledge as part of the company’s long-term localization strategy.

Job Role:

The General Manufacturing System & Control Engineer (Mandarin Speaker) supports plant-wide KPI management, cost control, and accounting systems. This role combines data analytics, process standardization, and system optimization to enhance production efficiency, cost accuracy, and performance tracking within the EV battery manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• KPI Management: Develop and optimize KPI targets, construct KPI platforms, and standardize documentation across departments.
• Cost Control: Lead cost budgeting and planning, monitor cost indicators, and promote cost improvement initiatives.
• Accounting Coordination: Manage BOM validation, work orders, and production accounting accuracy; conduct material and inventory monitoring.
• System Development: Support P&L management system enhancement, KPI visualization, and e-P&L platform operations.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with production, finance, and management teams to ensure operational transparency and compliance.

Candidate Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cost management or manufacturing system control.
  • Familiarity with MES / ERP systems.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Fine BI, or Python.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and reporting skills.
• Language:
  • Proficient in English on business level.
  • Fluent in Mandarin on business level for daily coordination with expat supervisors.
• Personal Attributes: Strong logical thinking, accountability, and coordination skills; able to work in cross-cultural environments.
