Blanket Care provides personalized in-home and residential elder-care services across Sri Lanka - combining compassionate caregiving with professional clinical oversight. We are looking for a General Manager - Operations to take ownership of daily operations, ensure smooth service delivery, and help design the systems that will allow Blanket Care to scale.
This is a COO-track position, ideal for someone with solid operational experience who’s ready to step into broader leadership responsibilities over the next 12–18 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations & Service Delivery
- Oversee daily operations of both in-home care and the residential facility (Blanket Homes).
- Coordinate caregiver scheduling, client onboarding, and day-to-day service flow.
- Monitor service quality, client satisfaction, and caregiver performance.
- Maintain smooth coordination between the nursing, admin, and finance teams.
Process & Systems
- Implement and refine SOPs for care delivery, hygiene, and safety.
- Introduce digital tools (scheduling, reporting, payroll, and client tracking).
- Identify operational bottlenecks and suggest improvements to management.
Finance & Administration
- Track expenses, procurement, and petty cash with accuracy and transparency.
- Support billing, collections, and basic reporting on revenue and costs.
- Assist in budgeting and cost-efficiency initiatives.
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure all licenses, inspections, and compliance requirements (PHSRC/PDHS) are met.
- Maintain accurate client and caregiver documentation.
- Enforce safety and emergency protocols.
Team & Culture
- Supervise caregivers, nurses, and support staff with empathy and structure.
- Lead daily huddles, resolve operational challenges, and maintain discipline.
- Promote a positive, transparent, and learning-focused workplace culture.

Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in operations, preferably in healthcare, hospitality, or service management.
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with HR, scheduling, and basic finance workflows.
- Comfortable with digital tools (Excel, Notion, or scheduling platforms).
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Nursing Administration, or related field.
