Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef / Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team in Colombo. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in baking, dessert preparation, and general kitchen assistance while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, bake, and decorate pastries, desserts, and other baked goods.
- Assist in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and ingredient organization.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients and baked products.
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with cooking and plating as required.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines strictly.
- Support inventory control and report shortages or maintenance issues.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role (pastry or bakery environment preferred).
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork, time management, and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays if required.
