The Forklift driver is a professional who is responsible for moving goods around warehouse or other industrial sites. The individual is expected to unload deliveries from trucks and stack boxes for storage purposes throughout a warehouse and other industrial property using a forklift.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts to move, stack, and organize hardware products within the warehouse and retail floor.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and PNG occupational health regulations.
• Assist in receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
• Maintain accurate stock records and report discrepancies promptly.
• Conduct daily pre-start checks and routine maintenance on forklifts.
• Report any faults or safety concerns immediately to the supervisor.
• Safely load and unload customer purchases and supplier deliveries.
• Provide assistance in locating and moving bulky items for customers when required.
• Follow all company policies, including PPE and safety protocols.
• Keep work areas clean and organized to prevent hazards.
• Operate forklift in a controlled and efficient manner to avoid damage to goods and property.
• Coordinate with warehouse and sales teams to ensure timely movement of stock.
• Support stocktake activities and cycle counts.
• Adhere to Hardware Haus quality standards and contribute to a safe working environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends or extended hours during peak periods.
• Must able to take on other task as required by the manager.

Key Requirements:

• Valid PNG forklift operator license .
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in warehouse or retail operations.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
