Our client is a publicly listed company on the Indonesian Stock Exchange and a leading player in the ceramic, porcelain, and granite tile industry, serving diverse market segments through well-known brands. Since beginning operations in 1995, the company has built a strong portfolio of over 900 tile motifs and 2,000 variants. It operates five manufacturing plants located in Tangerang, Serang, Gresik, Ogan Ilir, and Mojokerto, collectively producing approximately 70 million square meters of tiles annually with a focus on cost efficiency, quality consistency, and large-scale output.

Its products serve the national Indonesian market through an extensive network of more than 35,000 retail outlets and 46 sub-distributors. With a strong emphasis on product variety and accessibility, the company caters to mass-market and value-driven segments by offering over 900 design motifs and more than 2,000 SKU variants to meet diverse consumer and project needs.

Job Role:

The VP of HR Strategy is a key executive leader responsible for shaping and executing enterprise-wide people strategies that support the company’s long-term growth and transformation.

This role partners closely with senior leadership and corporate functions to align talent, culture, and organizational capabilities, to align the company’s human capital strategy with long-term business goals, driving enterprise-level workforce planning, optimizing the HR operating model, and fostering a culture of leadership, innovation, and performance across all business units, with evolving business priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute forward-looking HR strategies that drive organizational growth and agility.
  • Lead workforce planning, succession management, and leadership development across diverse functions.
  • Transform the HR operating model into a scalable, high-performing, and data-driven function.
  • Build a compelling talent acquisition and employer branding strategy to attract and retain top talent.
  • Standardize and optimize HR processes, KPIs, and analytics for better decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Drive change management and cultural transformation initiatives to enhance engagement and adaptability.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on organizational design and critical people decisions.

  • Aligning talent strategy with shifting business demands in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Leading large-scale change while maintaining operational continuity.
  • Strengthening leadership pipelines in technically complex and regulated settings.
  • Navigating compliance in a dynamic labor and regulatory landscape.

Scope & Authority:

  • Lead the design and implementation of HR policy and transformation initiatives company-wide.
  • Influence strategic investments in HR systems, technology, and workforce capabilities.
  • Shape key business decisions related to talent, organization design, and cultural alignment.
  • Drive executive-level dialogue on future workforce and capability needs.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Education: At least Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Business Administration, or related majors.
  • Years of Experience: At least 10 years of progressive, all spectrum, and all-around HR experience, with combined history in well-established corporates and developing businesses; Minimum 5 years of senior managerial level, with a strong track record in strategic HR leadership.
