This role requires the candidate to work in Jakarta Selatan, Indonesia.

Client Overview:

Our client is a long-established automotive conglomerate founded in 1967, operating across Indonesia with diversified businesses in automotive retail, leasing, finance, and logistics. With over five decades of experience, the company serves a wide network of corporate and enterprise customers through its strong nationwide presence.

Within its Trucking & Logistics Division, the company provides fleet-based logistics services, heavy-duty trucking solutions, and dedicated transport operations for B2B clients across Jabodetabek, Java, Sumatra, and other key regions. Its customer base spans manufacturing (FMCG, electronics, food & beverages, building materials), distribution and trading companies, warehousing and supply chain operators, retail groups, and industrial projects requiring dedicated trucking services.

Job Role:

The company is expanding its logistics and trucking operations and is seeking a strong leader who understands both Operations and Marketing within the logistics industry. They are looking for someone with hands-on experience in managing trucking fleets, overseeing daily logistics activities, and driving client acquisition in the B2B sector.

The Operation & Marketing Manager will oversee the end-to-end operational and commercial performance of the trucking division, requiring solid expertise in logistics operations, fleet management, and strategic marketing. The ideal candidate is someone who has directly managed trucking operations, understands B2B logistics service models, and can execute strategic marketing initiatives to enhance customer acquisition, service reliability, and overall market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily trucking and logistics operations, ensuring delivery accuracy, fleet health, route efficiency, and compliance with safety standards and transport regulations.
  • Monitor fleet performance, utilization rates, driver management, and operational KPIs, while resolving operational issues, delays, customer escalations, and route disruptions.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to acquire new B2B clients, manage digital and offline marketing activities, execute pricing strategies, and promote logistics services effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to identify target industries, generate leads, pitch logistics solutions, and support account management to maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Track operational and commercial KPIs—including delivery performance, cost efficiency, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction—and prepare regular reports and insights for senior management.
  • Coordinate closely with logistics teams, fleet supervisors, drivers, sales, and marketing teams, while supporting senior management in strategic decision-making, customer opportunities, and operational improvements.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements, such as route optimization, cost control, and service enhancement, while standardizing SOPs across logistics, marketing, and customer-facing processes.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field, with at least 7 years of experience in logistics or trucking operations and a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Hands-on experience managing trucking operations, including fleet performance, driver coordination, and delivery processes, with a solid understanding of transport systems, route optimization, pricing structures, and logistics service models.
  • Strong exposure to B2B marketing and commercial activities, including client acquisition, marketing planning, and execution of digital and offline campaigns.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, with strong analytical abilities to support operational and commercial decision-making.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, a field-oriented mindset, and the ability to negotiate and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Creative in marketing strategy while maintaining operational discipline, and willing to travel to sites, warehouses, and customer locations as needed.
  • Adequate English communication skills for business interactions.
