Job Role:

The Senior High School Principal oversees the academic, operational, and spiritual development of the Senior High School unit (SMA). This includes leading curriculum implementation, supervising specialized subject teachers, preparing students for university entrance exams, guiding career preparation, managing discipline, and ensuring operational excellence. This role requires strategic educational leadership, advanced academic planning, and strong communication with parents, teachers, and students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead implementation of the national curriculum and academic enhancements for Senior High School.
• Oversee academic rigor, instructional quality, and subject specialization.
• Supervise and coach teachers in advanced subjects.
• Manage UTBK preparation, mock exams, and university readiness programs.
• Analyze assessment data and school exam results to design academic interventions.
• Develop long-term academic strategy and operational programs supporting tertiary-readiness.
• Manage school budgets, resource allocation, and funding for major academic programs.
• Lead accreditation processes and ensure compliance with government education standards.
• Recruit, place, evaluate, and develop teachers specialized in Senior High School subjects.
• Oversee teaching quality, professional development, and disciplinary adherence.
• Build and maintain a high-performing teaching team.
• Ensure a disciplined, safe, and structured learning environment.
• Apply age-appropriate positive discipline for older teens and young adults.
• Oversee student guidance, university counseling, and career development programs.
• Manage serious conflicts and make final decisions on academic or behavioral issues.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding academic results, discipline, and university planning.
• Collaborate with school committees, universities, career institutions, and local authorities.
• Ensure compliance with education regulations and timely submission of official reports.

Candidate Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education or relevant fields. School leadership certification (e.g., Diklat Cakep) required.
• Experience: Minimum 7 years in education, including 2–3 years as Vice Principal or equivalent leadership role in Senior High School.
• Technical & Professional Competencies: Strategic thinker, adaptive to curriculum changes and technology integration. Strong drive for academic innovation and excellence. Understanding of adolescent development and behavior management. Strong analytical ability for learning data, university preparation, and program performance.
• Personality & Character: Service-oriented leadership, trustworthy with high integrity, courteous, respectful, compassionate, and mission-driven.
• Other Qualities: Clean professional record, ability to serve as a moral and spiritual role model.
• Language: Proficient in English for professional and academic communication.
