The Job

• Deliver high-quality teaching in Biomedical Engineering at undergraduate level, including lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, and project supervision.
• Develop engaging learning materials, practical demonstrations, and assessments aligned with programme outcomes.
• Support curriculum development by contributing to module design, reviewing academic content, and integrating emerging industry trends and technologies.
• Participate in departmental activities such as academic advising, student mentoring, research initiatives, and quality assurance processes.
• Engage in professional development, research, consultancy, and industry collaboration to enhance academic standards and institutional reputation.

The Person

• Holds a degree in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related discipline; a Master’s degree or ongoing postgraduate study is preferred for Assistant Lecturer and required for Lecturer.
• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge across key areas such as biomedical instrumentation, medical devices, biomechanics, bio-signal processing, or related fields.
• Has experience in teaching, tutoring, laboratory instruction, or industry practice relevant to Biomedical Engineering.
• Possesses excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with a student-centred approach to teaching and mentoring.
• Shows commitment to continuous professional growth, teamwork, ethical practice, and contributing positively to departmental and institutional goals.
