leading global IT services and cybersecurity company is seeking an experienced Senior Network & Security Engineer (Level 3) to join their Security & Network Operations Centre (SNOC) team. This is a senior technical position focused on advanced troubleshooting, solution design, and technical leadership within a remote working setup.

The ideal candidate will serve as a key escalation point, guiding offshore engineers, improving service delivery, and contributing to high-end enterprise network and security projects.

SALARY: LKR 200,000 – 600,000 (Negotiable based on experience and expertise)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide advanced Level 3 support for complex network and security incidents.
• Act as the main escalation point for Level 1/2 offshore engineers.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA), problem management, and post-incident reviews.
• Review and approve configuration and change requests prior to implementation.
• Mentor and train new engineers, ensuring consistent technical quality.
• Collaborate with the Australian engineering team on design, deployment, and optimisation initiatives.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation, templates, and operational runbooks.
• Participate in 24x7 support rotations for major incidents and scheduled maintenance.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3–8 years of experience in senior-level network and security engineering roles.
• Proven hands-on experience with Fortinet technologies (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer) in enterprise environments.
• Solid understanding of routing, switching, VPNs, SD-WAN, and firewall configuration.
• Experience working in managed services, SOC, or SNOC environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices (Incident, Change, and Problem Management).
• Strong leadership, mentoring, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle escalations confidently.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Certifications: Fortinet NSE 5–7, CCNP, or equivalent enterprise-level credentials.
• Experience with SIEM, SOAR, or EDR tools (FortiSIEM, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
• Knowledge of automation, scripting, or infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM platforms.
