Role Overview
As a DevOps Engineer at Metana, you’ll be responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling the infrastructure that powers our learning platforms, internal tools, and community systems.
You’ll work closely with the research and developenment and operations teams to ensure our systems are secure, reliable, observable, and cost-efficient, while enabling rapid experimentation and deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
- Own CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, reliable, and secure deployments
- Monitor system performance, uptime, and reliability across platforms
- Implement logging, alerting, and observability best practices
- Support LMS platforms, internal dashboards, APIs, and integrations
- Troubleshoot production issues and lead root-cause analysis
- Document infrastructure, workflows, and operational runbooks
- Continuously improve automation, scalability, and developer experience
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with Linux-based systems
- Experience with hubspot is an added advantage
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a must to have
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.)
- Experience with Docker and containerized workloads
- Solid understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, and security
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) is an added advantage
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.) is an added advantage
- Ability to debug production issues calmly and methodically
- Strong documentation and communication skills
