Responsibilities:
- Serve as a senior electricity and energy security advisor focused on Indonesia’s power sector.
- Analyze and advise on Indonesia’s electricity market structure, regulatory frameworks, and reform options, including implications for regional power trade.
- Provide expert input on power system planning, resource adequacy, reserve margins, and reliability in Indonesia.
- Support and/or lead feasibility studies for: Power generation and transmission projects, Grid reinforcement and interconnection, and Cross-border electricity trade involving Indonesia
- Assess the impact of tariff structures, subsidies, market access rules, and procurement mechanisms on electricity investment and system security.
- Contribute to technical reports, policy briefs, regulatory impact analyses, and briefing notes focused on the electricity sector.
- Support capacity-building initiatives related to electricity regulation, market operations, and system planning.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the electricity or power sector, with substantial experience in Indonesia.
- Demonstrated experience as an Electricity Market Analyst, Energy Security Analyst, or senior power-sector consultant.
- Strong expertise in at least one of the following: Electricity regulation and power market design, Power system planning and adequacy analysis, Electricity tariffs and regulatory frameworks, Feasibility studies for power and grid infrastructure
- Understanding of cross-border electricity trade and regional power integration in Southeast Asia.
- Comfortable working independently as a trusted advisor.
