Role Overview
We're looking for AI-Native Support Engineers in Sri Lanka to join Sansa on a flexible, remote side gig basis. You'll work directly with end users to resolve technical issues, debug problems, and triage bugs across our portfolio of AI-driven products and implementations.
This is a high-impact support role for engineers who can diagnose issues quickly, communicate clearly with non-technical users, and ship fixes fast—all while leveraging AI tools to accelerate resolution times.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical support and debugging assistance to end users across multiple AI products
- Triage incoming bug reports and issues, identifying root causes and severity levels
- Implement quick fixes and patches for common issues under light oversight
- Reproduce user-reported problems and document steps, edge cases, and workarounds
- Communicate clearly with users to understand issues, provide updates, and explain solutions
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers with clear context and reproduction steps
- Use AI tools daily for debugging, code analysis, testing, and faster issue resolution
- Maintain documentation of common issues, fixes, and troubleshooting patterns
What We're Looking For
- Engineering background: 0–3 years of professional experience or equivalent project work
- Technical fundamentals: Comfortable reading and writing code, understanding logs, and debugging systems
- AI-native approach: You actively use AI tools (LLMs, agents, assistants) to diagnose problems and find solutions faster
- User empathy: Able to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
- Problem-solving mindset: You enjoy hunting down bugs and figuring out why things break
- Familiarity with modern web/backend tech: React, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, etc.
- Self-directed: Can work independently with light oversight and know when to ask for help
- Clear communicator: Strong written English for user support and issue documentation
Great to Have
- Experience in customer support, technical support, or user-facing engineering roles
- Exposure to production systems, monitoring tools, or incident response
- Personal projects or work involving AI tools, LLMs, or automation
- Comfort working across multiple products or problem domains simultaneously
