Cloudvantage (Private) Limited is a dynamic IT managed services startup dedicated to delivering innovative and reliable technology solutions to our clients. We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud to join our growing projects team. If you have hands-on experience and have successfully contributed to at least one SAP implementation or migration project, we want to hear from you.

Term: Full-Time, 6-month Contract (with possibility of extension)

Role Purpose

Design, build, and operate robust data products in SAP Datasphere and HANA Cloud. Own end-to-end pipelines, performance, and data quality; mentor juniors and lift engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Build Datasphere data models, views, and semantic layers.
• Own data products from source to consumption (ELT, modelling, semantic layer).
• Engineer performant views & models (SQLScript/HANA calc views, pruning, caching).
• Implement DQ frameworks (profiling rules, thresholds, alerts, remediation playbooks).
• Integrate SAP and non-SAP sources (SDI/SDA, OData/ODP, JDBC; CDC/replication).
• Develop end-to-end pipelines: ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.
• Automate CI/CD for Datasphere transports, code reviews, reusable components.
• Apply engineering best practices, CI/CD, and reusable component design.
• Monitor scheduled jobs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure pipeline reliability.
• Partner with analytics teams (SAC/Power BI) and platform teams (e.g., Snowflake).
• Contribute to standards, templates, and runbooks; mentor junior engineers.

Skills & Tools

• SQL & Data Modelling: Strong SQL and data modelling (3NF, star, Data Vault or similar).
• SAP Datasphere: BW Bridge, Data Flow orchestration, semantic modelling, lineage.
• SAP HANA Cloud: Performance tuning, calculation view design, SQLScript.
• Integration: SAP SDI/SDA, ODP/SLT/replication patterns, APIs.
• CI/CD & Quality: CI/CD (Git, pipelines), testing (unit/data tests), observability (logs/metrics).
• Other: Python, Snowflake/dbt/Databricks, SAC modelling, Power BI DirectQuery/Live.

Experience

• 3–6 years data engineering with 1–3 years on SAP Datasphere / HANA Cloud.
• Strong SQL/ETL/ELT capabilities; hands-on with SAP Datasphere, HANA, or BW/4HANA.
• Demonstrated experience with at least one SAP migration, upgrade, or integration project.
