About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and passionate Training & Development Officer to support our People & Culture team in building a skilled, motivated, and high‑performing workforce. In this role, you will help assess training needs, develop and deliver training programs, coordinate onboarding, and support employees’ continuous learning and career growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Training Manager in planning annual and quarterly training and development programs.
- Prepare and facilitate onboarding and induction sessions for new employees.
- Deliver group and one‑on‑one training across various departments.
- Monitor training activities at store level and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Learn store operations to design relevant training materials and interventions.
- Track and assess individual training progress and performance.
- Support succession planning by identifying potential talent.
- Ensure statutory training requirements are met for Work Permit renewals (non-nationals).
- Maintain accurate training records and prepare required monthly and annual reports.
- Contribute to People & Culture projects, initiatives, and department activities.

- Fluent in English and Tok Pisin.
Technical Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Human Resource Management, Psychology, or related field.
- Train‑the‑Trainer (ToT) certification is an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in training, including customer service training.
- Solid understanding of training methods, adult learning principles, and competency development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to document processes, track metrics, and analyse training data.
