About the Role
We're looking for a Senior QA Engineer to own quality across our HRIS platform — covering the full employee lifecycle from hiring through retention. You'll test and validate the modules HR teams rely on daily, build automation coverage, and help shape our overall testing strategy.
What You'll Do
- Test end-to-end workflows across modules — e.g., a new hire flowing from recruitment through onboarding, roster assignment, and first payroll run.
- Build and maintain automated test suites to support faster, more reliable releases.
- Perform API testing across internal module integrations and any third-party systems.
- Run performance tests simulating real-world scenariosm, bulk onboarding, payroll runs, roster generation at scale.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
- Collaborate with product and engineering to define acceptance criteria and shift quality left.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of QA experience with strong manual testing skills and growing automation expertise.
- Experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar).
- API testing proficiency (Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent).
- Comfortable with SQL for data validation.
- Experience working in agile teams with CI/CD workflows.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Experience testing HRIS, HCM, or HR/payroll platforms.
- Familiarity with HR concepts: payroll cycles, leave accrual, shift rostering, review workflows.
- Experience with security/compliance testing involving PII.
