Job Role:
The Legal Counsel provides critical legal service and support to the Indonesia subsidiary office. This role is responsible for mitigating legal risks across diverse business units, including consumer and cloud business, while ensuring full adherence to Indonesian corporate and telecommunication laws. You will act as a strategic advisor during high-stakes bidding and contract negotiations, bridging the gap between business objectives and legal compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Advisory & Support: Provide comprehensive legal counsel for the operation of the company, specifically supporting the consumer and cloud business units.
- Contract Management: Lead the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of complex contracts and legal documents, participating directly in bidding processes for at least two major accounts.
- Regulatory Compliance & Licensing: Manage business license applications and navigate government systems, including the OSS (Online Single Submission) from the Ministry of Investment.
- Risk Control & Stakeholder Liaison: Identify legal risks and coordinate with customers or relevant stakeholders to resolve legal matters as required.
- Internal Capability Building: Conduct specialized legal research and deliver legal training to other departments within the company to enhance overall legal awareness.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (minimum), preferably from UGM, UI, UNDIP, UNPAD, Atmajaya University, or UNPAR; Advocate License (PERADI) is a strong advantage
- 5–8 years of consistent legal experience at Counsel level, combining top-tier law firm training and in-house experience in multinational technology or telecommunications companies
- Strong exposure to Telecommunication Law, ITE, Personal Data Protection (PDP), Indonesian Corporate Law, contract law, dispute resolution, intellectual property law, criminal law (including procedural law), and other relevant business laws
- Proven experience handling OSS (Online Single Submission) and licensing processes with the Indonesian Ministry of Investment
- Experienced in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts, with strong legal risk control capabilities for bidding and high-value negotiations
- Familiar with cloud computing and/or consumer electronics business models
- Detail-oriented, analytical, structured, and solution-driven, with strong risk awareness and compliance mindset; able to work effectively in fast-paced, multinational environments
- Professional fluency in English (spoken and written)
