🔎 AVAILABLE POSITION - RADIOGRAPHER
The Radiographer is responsible for performing high‑quality diagnostic imaging procedures with precision, ensuring every patient receives safe, comfortable, and compassionate care throughout the imaging process. This role plays an essential part in supporting radiologists and clinical teams by producing accurate, reliable images that are critical for effective diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing patient management. The Radiographer also upholds strict radiation safety protocols, maintains and troubleshoots imaging equipment, prepares patients by clearly explaining procedures, and contributes to the smooth flow of clinical operations. In addition, the role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring accurate documentation, and consistently striving to enhance service quality through adherence to clinical standards and continuous professional development.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Education:
Diploma or Degree in Medical Imaging, Radiography, or a related field.
Valid professional registration with the Medical Board of PNG.
Experience:
Experience performing diagnostic imaging procedures in a clinical setting (e.g., X‑ray, CT, MRI, mammography, fluoroscopy depending on certification) is preferred.
Skills:
Strong technical proficiency with imaging equipment.
Ability to position patients correctly and assess images for clarity and diagnostic adequacy.
Knowledge of radiation safety practices and ALARA principles.
Accurate documentation and proficiency with RIS/PACS.
Strong communication and patient care skills, including cultural sensitivity and maintaining patient dignity.
Attention to detail and adherence to SOPs, infection control, and quality standards.
Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical teams and supervise junior staff or interns when required.
