Role Description

This is a hybrid role based in Colombo, with opportunities for both in-office collaboration and remote work. As a Senior Motion Designer, you will be responsible for creating dynamic motion designs and animations that elevate brand storytelling. Your tasks will include developing motion graphics, producing videos, crafting animations, video editing and creating storyboards that bring ideas to life. In collaboration with teams across different disciplines, you will play a key role in producing high-quality visual content for digital platforms.

Company Description

• Lead motion design for digital campaigns, social media, and brand films
• Translate static designs into dynamic, engaging animations
• Develop motion systems and templates for scalable content production
• Work closely with creative and performance teams to optimise content for engagement and conversion
• Ensure brand consistency across all motion assets
• Manage timelines and deliver projects on schedule
• Mentor junior designers and review their work
• Stay updated with trends in motion, editing, and platform best practices

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years experience in motion design or animation
• Strong portfolio demonstrating commercial work (ads, social, brand content)
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects
• Strong working knowledge of Premiere Pro
• Experience with 2D animation, typography animation, and compositing
• Understanding of pacing, storytelling, and sound design
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail

Bonus Skills

• 3D experience (Cinema 4D / Blender)
• Experience with performance marketing creatives
• Understanding of social-first content formats
• Basic colour grading knowledge
• Experience working in an agency environment
